CANNON FALLS, Minn. – Jordan Ryan fired a 4-under par 72 Monday at Gopher Hills Golf Club to earn medalist honors and qualify for the Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship.
The qualifier was held to determine the field at this year’s 111th championship, which will be played July 21-23 at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club in Golden Valley, Minn.
Ryan, Eden Prairie, Minn., will be joined by Mack Farley, Lakeville, Minn., who carded a 2-under par 70, as well as Will Holmgren, Corcoran, Minn., and Austin Kottke, New Prague, Minn., who both carded a 1-under par 71.
Sam Palmisano, Eden Prairie, Minn., Kyle Kellogg, Edina, Minn., and Mitch Holm, Prior Lake, Minn., all qualified for the tournament as well as all three shot an even par 72. Ten more players qualified for the championship with a score of 75 or better.
Tim Holland, Owatonna, Minn., Aaron Pulanco, Cottage, Grove Minn., and Ben Meyer, Austin, Minn., finished as first, second and third alternates, respectively.
