MOORHEAD, Minn. – Kevin Swanson and Sam LaBine both carded an even par 71 Monday at Moorhead Country Club to share medalist honors and qualified with two others for the Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship.
The qualifier was held to determine the field at this year’s 111th championship which will be played July 21-23 at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club in Golden Valley, Minn.
Swanson, Fergus Falls, Minn., and LaBine, St. Cloud, Minn., will be joined by Jack Elliot, Fargo, N.D., who carded a 1-over par 72 to qualify and by Brant Buckallew, Moorhead, Minn., who needed extra holes to qualify, as he carded a 2-over par 73.
Connor Holland, West Fargo, Minn., and Jon Miller, Moorhead, Minn., finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
