McIntosh Earns a Spot in MGA Senior Players' Championship

  MCGREGOR, Minn. – A 10-over par 82 for Bruce McIntosh Wednesday at Minnesota National Golf Club earned McIntosh medalist honors as well as a spot in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Senior Players’ Championship.

A field of five players competed for just one qualifying spot for this year’s championship, which will be played co-currently with the MGA Mid-Players’ Championship June 15-17 at Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn.

McIntosh, Golden Eagle Golf Club, carded a 39 on the front side Wednesday before shooting 43 over the final nine holes to claim the lone qualifying spot by a single stroke.

Paul Kahmann, Willinger’s Golf Club, and Jonathan Gust, Pebble Lake Golf Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
