LAKEVILLE -- Claudia Pilot, a former champion, and Kristen Wagner matched 5-over-par 76's at Brackett's Crossing CC on Tuesday, and they are tied for first place in the MGA Women's Mid-Amateur.

It's been nine years since Pilot won the last of her three consecutive Mid-Am titles, but she tied for second last year. Wagner is the reigning State Publinx Stroke Play champ.

Lurking one stroke behind the co-leaders, at 77, is defending champion Leigh Klasse, who is looking for her seventh Mid-Am crown. She's tied with Katie Hanneman and Kara Salava.
