For more than three decades, Reynolds has successfully endeavored to teach and coach the game of golf to thousands of Minnesota’s youth. During that time, while working as a school administrator and high school golf coach, Reynolds has coached four individual Minnesota State High School champions and three state team champions. In addition, he worked behind the scenes organizing and conducting clinics to improve high school coaching among his colleagues from across the state.
A talented player, Reynolds counted three top-tens at the Minnesota Section Championship and a first-place finish at the Minnesota Senior Open in 1986. He has been a PGA member for 40 years, served as the Head Golf Professional at Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka, and was honored with the section’s Horton Smith Award in 2001 for his history of helping educate fellow golf professionals.
Reynolds was instrumental in starting the popular Minnesota Section PGA Junior Golf program, and he was the lead instructor of the section’s Junior Golf Academy from 1979 to 1987. He is a member of the High School Coaches Hall of Fame and was inducted into the MGA/PGA Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame in 2003.
